Our Community History is vital as it provides evidence of our past activities and tell us more about the individuals, our community, and our College as an institution. Our Community History also heightens our sense of identity and our understanding of our College community, and while the concept of what our Community History is may not always be easy to define, for us it is the items which form evidence of the activities of our Somerset community, the papers and records that were once used day-to-day, the memorabilia from time gone by.
Our Community History is not created for the purpose of historical research, and so it often provides an honest and unbiased account of our events and our community in the past. These accounts and our Community History can only remain current through the contributions of our Alumni past, present and future.
Since our inception in 1983, the Somerset community continues to support the future of our College and students by donating their time, resources, and skills. If you would like to donate or loan memorabilia (such as uniforms, photographs, or awards), please contact us and we will organise their safe arrival. Likewise, if you have a specialised talent or skill you would like to contribute to the future of our College (for example, calligraphy, painting, woodwork and so forth), please contact us with how you would like to be involved.
