Welcome to the Somerset Academy. The Somerset College swimming facility was opened in 1998 and is one of the finest aquatic facilities in our region, now with two indoor heated Learn To Swim pools and our heated outdoor 10 lane 50-metre Olympic Pool. The Somerset Swimming Academy caters for all ages from six-months-old to Olympic level athletes.
The Somerset Swim Academy runs learn to swim programmes for both Somerset College and the wider community. Throughout the year, the College uses the pool for school swimming lessons, physical education classes and water polo, along with its its annual swimming carnivals for Junior and Senior School.
The Somerset Swimming Academy runs a large range of aquatic programmes at the pool complex, before and after school. These programmes cover Learn To Swim, Junior Development, Squad, Masters and Deep Water Running.
The Somerset Swim Club also operates out of the Somerset Pool. The Club is a competitive body operating under Swimming Australia. While compulsory for Squad members to join, it is optional for junior swimmers. The Swim Club runs Club Nights in summer and hosts two major swim meets each year.
I look forward to welcoming new swimmers to our programme and helping all our existing swimmers reach their potential.
