Somerset Retail

Our Somerset Retail environments are characterised by not just what we sell, but by the warmth and friendliness of the retail staff that look after students, parents and staff alike. Somerset Retail provides our community with a range of eatery locations on campus, as well as our uniform and stationery shop located in the Ray building and open daily on weekdays from 7.30am to 4.30pm.

Throughout the campus, we have a range of eatery locations that serve fresh food daily to our students, staff and parents alike. Our College Dining Room, located in the Ray Dining Room, provides daily menu options for plated meals. In addition, the College also has the option of the Bird and Bush Cafe, the Mackenzie Cafe and Spartan Espresso, located next to the Sports Precinct and Spartan Swimming. Our youngest students from Pre-Prep to Year 3 have the ability to order morning tea and lunches online for delivery to their classrooms, whilst our older students and staff enjoy the convenience of their smartcard and a cashfree retail environment.

Somerset Retail stocks stationery requirements for students of all ages. Stationery requirements can be purchased in store throughout the year as needed.

In preparation for the academic year, students in Years 4 to 12 receive their textbook and stationery requirements to purchase online. This also gives them access to their textbooks online. Somerset Retail does not stock textbooks in store.

For any queries regarding stationery, booklist or uniform items, please email retail@somerset.qld.edu.au.

The wearing of the Somerset uniform sets our students apart. We expect the uniform to be worn in full and with pride. Somerset Retail is available for the purchase of all student uniform items, with the exception of shoes.

During your consultation, our staff will assist you with all your uniform requirements and ensure the uniform is fitted and worn correctly. Our experienced staff will also advise sizes to allow for normal growth within a year.

Student shoes must be purchased independently; the requirements for different year levels are stated on the uniform lists.

We provide our parents with choice on sustainable options for purchasing textbook and uniform items.

The Collective, run by the Parents' and Friends' Association, has secondhand textbook and uniform items for sale. Located next to the Track, the Collective is open each Wednesday during term time from 7.30am - 9.30am, unless advised otherwise via Schoolbox.

Secondhand textbooks and uniform items can also be purchased through the online Sustainable School Shop.
